PLAYGROUNDS FESTIVAL, August 30 2010
This year we will be part again of the one of the coolest festivals of the Netherlands; the Playgrounds Festival. Playgrounds Audiovisual Arts Festival is a festival for innovative and creative digital art. During the two-day festival in Tilburg, Playgrounds presents an impression of the latest developments in technology as well as creativity. The festival programme offers an inspiring mix of inventive films, documentaries, animation, graphic design, artist talks, character design and performances.

GDFB THIS WEEKEND, May 07 2010
Tonight (Friday, May 7th) the Graphic Design Festival Breda will
take-off at KOP, Breda. A festival that will surprise the public
and inspire the professionals by showing the communicative powers
of graphic design within our daily visual culture. In a surprising
though perceptible manner, talented designers connect graphic
design, technology (like new media), social context (the presence
of graphic design in one’s own environment / daily life) and the
individual (the consumer).' We will participate in several

Drawn from around the world, each portfolio will be accompanied by analysis and an interview with the illustrator. On March 25th, during the International Film Festival Breda,
AKV|St.Joost (School of Fine Art & Design) willl launch a one
year Masters Course in PROFESSIONAL ANIMATION. We are working realy
hard to complete the visual identity.

We are delighted to be part again of this years Graphic Design Festival Breda. Graphic Design Festival Breda (GDFB) is a biannual festival on graphic design. The festival goes into present developments on this subject and a large part of it takes place in the public place. From 8 to 30 May 2010 the second edition of GDFB will take place.
GREYTONES 2010, February 09 2010
For the first time we will participate in the Greytones project. Greytones
2010 will hit Breda during the Graphic Design Festival
in May.
BREDASE CULTUURPRIJZEN 2010, January 25 2010
Unfortunately we did not win the 'new talent award' at the
'Bredase Cultuurprijzen' last Friday. It was a great honour to be
nominated and we do not feel sad losing from Studio Smack. We would
like to congratulate Dennis Elbers and Carolien Smit as well for
winning the other catogories.
Here is the Jury report about our nominee (in Dutch):
"De BoArte Aanmoedigingsprijs is een prijs voor jong talent. Jong talent dat zowel artistiek als commercieel belangrijk is om toekomstige grenzen te verleggen. De prijs is er voor aanstormend talent die gedreven door ambitie en bruisende energie de samenleving met zijn gedachten en creativiteit confronteert.
Staynice
Als jong en dynamisch bureau
maakt Staynice stevig en kleurrijk grafisch werk. Het werk en de
stijl van de broers Barry en Rob van Dijck is ontstaan vanuit de
'Street Culture'. Graffiti en onaangepaste manieren van werken
hebben ze de afgelopen periode omgezet in een krachtige visuele
stijl die ze zeer doordacht en functioneel inzetten voor
verschillende doeleinden. Staynice heeft opdrachten gedaan in
binnen- en buitenland. Met hun eigentijdse fantasievolle en
herkenbare stijl brengen ze de esthetiek uit de digitale wereld
naar de fysieke wereld van drukwerk en de publieke ruimte. Een
mooie combinatie van dialoge en analoge toepassingen.
Uit het juryrapport:
Het werk van Staynice
vertegenwoordigt een belangrijke vernieuwing in de typografie. De
ontwikkeling van nieuwe visuele talen zal ook in de toekomst steeds
belangrijker worden nu we meer met beeld communiceren.
De voornaamste werkzaamheden van
Staynice bestaan uit het ontwerpen van drukwerk en illustraties.
Verder maken graphics in de vorm van muurschilderingen een
belangrijk deel uit van hun portfolio. De jury van de Bredase
Cultuurprijzen is ervan overtuigd dat dit jonge ontwerpbureau een
grote toekomst heeft. De jury is trots om deze bijzondere
grensverleggende ontwerpers onder de aandacht te brengen".

see this project at the upcoming Bread & Butter event in Berlin
next week. We hope to show you some images within a few days.

Graphic Design Museum, December 10 2009
2010 has already been a great year for us and it didn't even
start yet. We are preparing a project in the museum which will be
exposed next January 22.
Opening Street HeArt event NYC, December 05 2009
Street HeArt is an exhibition and art-auction to raise brain
trauma awareness. We provided two exclusive posters and a
hand-painted skateboard.
